Membership
of the Brisbane Water Marine Watch is usually only worthwhile for people having
or operating their boats in the Brisbane Water area. However, membership is
open to anyone willing to accept the charter and pay the required fees. There
is a joining fee of $10 and an annual subscription fee of $5. The subscription
fee could vary but only with the consent of the members.
Membership entitles two persons to attend Zone Meetings
where general boating information is exchanged and a guest speaker addresses
the meeting. After joining a security sticker is available for the boat and
members are entitled to fly the BWMW pennant - a white & orange flag with
the top half white. All members receive an informative Newsletter every three
months and members are entitled to attend the occasional visits to useful
institutions operating in marine related fields..
